Boy – o - boy! Are we excited! Now it’s only a little over a week and we hit the road once again. This time, however, we head North to visit with many of our friends and loved ones and especially with YOU! Time sure has passed like a whirl wind since we arrived in Guatemala last July. Speaking of whirl wind … you’ve probably heard and read about this year’s first tropical storm Adrian, approaching from the Pacific. That’s why Central American governments summoned boats from the sea and prepared evacuations as the season's first tropical storm headed for their coasts on Wednesday.

Keep Central America in prayer and especially those people living in the aldeas, mountains and pueblos of Guatemala. Their houses, built out of flimsy material like wooden boards, sheet metal, adobe or even dried corn stalks, are often on the edges of the barrancos or valleys that are all over the city. Thus they are at particular risk in times like this.

Last month, April, all kinds of activities happened in connection with the school as well as outside of school life. In the middle of April we hosted two visitors from Germany, who were on their drive through North and Central America. After having shipped their vehicles from Europe they started on their trek across the continents. Halfway through Mexico, however, something malfunctioned on the cars. Consequently they needed repair done on their SUVs. Charles invited them to stay with us, while he helped with the repairs or, when needed, referred them to a good mechanic. After two days our new friends could continue on their journey. We praise the Lord for giving us ones more opportunity to be His ambassadors through actions and words.

Yes, we are excited to see you soon and tell all about what God is doing even through us.

God bless you as you serve in your sphere of influence.
