November 2006

Dear Family and Friends Near and Far,

This past month has been like a roller-coaster-ride. With its ups and downs, twists and turns life's events left us emotionally elated at one time and altogether drained at others. Come along to get a glimpse:

- Charles and Jonny drove to Vancouver to fix Charles' sister's roof.
- Petra got laid off from the coffee shop.
- The cardiologist in Vancouver referred Charles to the local hospital in Cranbrook, to have an EKG (Electro Cardiogram) done.
- Petra found nearly full-time employment at Subway.
- At the beginning of this week, the cardiosurgeon informed us, that the surgery would happen in December.
- A day later, the surgical coordinator informed us, that the surgery wouldn't be until January.
- Two days ago, we were told, surgery date would be next Wednesday, November 29th.
- Yesterday they called us to cancel November 29th's date, and rescheduled for December 4th.

Yet, even on this wild ride, we can see God's hand continually leading and providing for us.

- One customer, as well as one coworker, commented on Petra's cheerfulness. Thus opening the door for further conversation.
- We found accommodation, which is relatively inexpensive.
- Due to the fact that Petra, James and Jonathan are working in the food industry sector, our food bill is very low. Our employers allow us to take written off food items home, instead of discarding it into the garbage.
- There are Christian brothers and sisters, who are happy to assist when asked.
- Then there are those people, who express their love and support by initiating e-mails, phone calls and conversations, inquiring about our situation and offering support.

We are thankful for the privilege of knowing you. Thank you for standing with us in prayer, physical, and emotional support.

The Lord bless you,

Charles & Petra, James & Jonathan Wirrell
